This selection of meeting minutes document a few critical moments in the history of the ILGWU-the union's founding, its push to join central labor bodies, its continued support of the Liberal Party, and the passing of President Benjamin Schlesinger in 1932.

August 19, 1919 meeting of the General Executive Board

Discusses the cloakmakers' strike in Toronto, how Vice-President Koldofsky suggested ending the strike but that the workers decided to continue. The board voted in favor of providing $3000 per week to support the strikers. Includes a draft of a letter to all local unions encouraging them to join central labor bodies.
