TO ALL CUTTERS, OPERATORS, FINISHERS, PRESSERS, ALL , SUITS AND SKIRT SHOPS IN BOSTON AND VICINITY

GREETINGS-

Promptly at 10 o'clock This Morning

Thursday, August 21st, 1924

YOU ARE ALL ORDERED TO STOP WORK.

Lay down your tools in perfect order and march to

PAINE MEMORIAL HALL
9 APPLETON STREET BOSTON
Where the strikers will meet.

THIS GENERAL STRIKE is being called to bring order instead of chaos in our Industry.

To eliminate from it petty and greedy exploiters who have all but destroyed it.

To place due responsibility upon Jobber, Contractor and Employer in our Industry for Labor Standrads [sic] and Conditions, and reorganize the shops and the trade upon a sound and wholesome basis.

CLOAKMAKERS OF BOSTON: The Jobbers, Contractors, and Employers are challenging your Union, but you as old veterans of your Union and the Labor Movement in general, have proven by your vote for a strike that you are in this fight for a good cause, and you will not return to the shops until you are triumphant and the issues for which you are waging the great struggle have been won.

All your past victories with your Employers were achieved through your solidarity, courage, and indomitable spirit. In the conflict which you are facing today, we call upon you to stand shoulder to shoulder as you hae [sic] stood in all your struggles in the past, and victory is yours.

By order of the
General Strike Committee of the
Joint Board Cloak, Skirt and Dress Makers Union of Boston
Sol Seidman, Chairman
B. Kurland, Vice-Chairman
